  2. Ravitz Editor Description

  4. Ravitz Editor is a new shareware ASCII text editor for MS DOS computers. It is
  5. a mid sized (50 to 60K) but very powerful editor with integrated outlining and
  6. overviewing capabilities.

  8. RE is easy to learn and use, with features such as: one character mnemonic
  9. functions, commands, and options; menus; mouse input; and an internal instant
  10. help system.

  12. RE includes find/change functions with options such as word, check case, ignore
  13. excluded lines, look only in marked area, all, and show all. It has block mark
  14. functions including overlay, merge, copy lines, line sort, delete, fill with
  15. block pattern, fill with numeric line pattern, shift horizontal, and shift
  16. vertical. There are also functions to help in writing documents such as word
  17. wrap, flow, flow with right justification, flow into list, center text, and
  18. line drawing.

  20. RE is configurable via profiles that are installed within the EXE file.
  21. Keyboard usage, default values, macros, menus, panels, and help text may be
  22. defined with a profile and assembled into a new RE.EXE. The macro facility has
  23. nestable macros with looping and conditional control.
